Starfleet holodecks

Captain's Log Supplemental

"We were able to locate a code stored within the stations computer archives from back when the Federation first encountered Kahn. It appears that the virus in the Tagarran's systems, was developed onbard the Botany Bay during the time it was under Kahn's control. We can use the code in the ships archives, to reverse engineer the current virus to discover the deactivation sequence needed to restore ship functions. Spock and Scotty are working on the problem now..."

Scotty: I must admit, Commander, there is a certain level of admiration to be had for this code. Kahn's crew were way ahead of their time. I am glad they didn't use this against the Federation or Starfleet.

Spock: It is fascinating, in the fluidity. The code seems to almost be sentient in it's ability to augment it's code on the fly. This is sofisticated on many levels.

Scotty: Aye, she will be difficult to counteract. Everytime we make a change, it makes a change. Locating this deactivation sequence is going to be the pinnacle of my career.

Spock: I believe your transwarp equasions have already secured that title.

Scotty: If I didn't know any better, I'd say you just paid me a compliment.

Spock: Fascinating...
